"Paul Cain Has Gone HOME! But - EXACTLY a Year Ago Today..."

From the Desk of Steve Shultz:

Steve ShultzIt was exactly one year ago today, February 13th, 2018, that we published this short prophetic Word of the Lord through Prophet Paul Cain: "A Resurgence of the Fear of the Lord is Coming!" (Note: Paul's word was given on Feb. 2, 2018, but we published it Feb. 13, 2018.)

For the last 20 years or so of Paul Cain's life, I've been happy to call Paul a friend of mine. Paul and I did a few conferences together, and I was beyond honored that he would stay in touch with me over the years. No one knew that starting about 25 years ago, a young prophet told me that I would become a personal friend of Paul Cain. When that word came, there was no Elijah List at all, and I had no training in the prophetic YET—but then came that word for me.

So imagine my surprise when it just happened—Paul Cain became my friend—SUDDENLY!

Now speaking of SUDDENLY, check out this word by Paul Cain published a year ago today, just as it was announced that Paul went home to be with his LORD. Such things are NOT a coincidence but they are prophetically significant! When these coincidences happen, we normally go to the last article we've published on that prophet—in this case today, Paul Cain. This helps us to see what God was saying EMPHATICALLY as Paul's journey on Earth was nearing an end.

Paul was a prophet and with that title comes this Scripture just below. ALL of the Bible prophets we have had to "receive as a prophet" long after their death. This will be the case with Paul Cain as well. Many will come to receive Paul Cain as a prophet only after his death, but there is a reward for doing so, here it is:

Matthew 10:41 (NKJV): "He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward..."

Now, go ahead and check out this very short prophetic word through Paul Cain, published exactly one year from the announcement of Paul's home-going—on what is about to happen, SUDDENLY! (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)

Paul Cain: "A Resurgence of the Fear of the Lord is Coming!"

Paul Cain's word below posted on the Elijah List one year ago today on February 13, 2018:

Word of the Lord through Paul Cain given February 2, 2018:

You are going to see some things that will leave some of you without words for days!

There is a resurgence of the fear of the Lord coming – and it will fall suddenly, unexpectedly, and unannounced.

A new day is coming! It is not an encore – this will be like no other.

This will be a hallmark of a huge wave of the Spirit that will sweep around the earth.

It will be about holiness and purity of heart – and it is a waste of time telling folks to get ready.

It will just come – SUDDENLY.

A revival with a hallmark of tears, but also profound intimacy, with the person of the Holy Spirit. (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)

Steve Shultz: "I Couldn't Believe it. I Was in the

and Vice President Pence!!"

Presidential Prayer Breakfast in the ballroom at Washington Hilton Hotel

I'm pretty excited today about it all. Derene and I just returned yesterday from Washington, DC where we took you all (our readers) with us in our hearts.

Some of you might have seen my Facebook LIVE from that very room, the Washington Hilton Hotel. (Note: This is the same hotel at which President Reagan nearly lost his life in an assassination attempt as he was leaving the hotel.)

Ambassador of International
Religious Liberty
Now, this was both FUN and incredibly rewarding to say the least. No, for those who have asked, I've not yet had the pleasure of meeting the president in person but who knows what God might have on the agenda for us one day.

I'm attaching a few photos so you can see this amazing Presidential Prayer Breakfast.

Our own hotel was about half a mile away from this event but we had to get up at 4:30am, give or take, to get dressed up and shuttled over and then the long waits for security as they have to x-ray every last one of the 3 to 4 thousand of us.

I am SO EXCITED for our country, Elijah List readers! We have a president who I firmly believe and know was called by God for this time in

our nation. And both at his "State of the Union" speech a few days before and also at the breakfast, President Trump gave that same quote about LIFE...

President Trump at the Presidential Prayer Breakfast, on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019: "Let us work together to build a culture that cherishes innocent life. And let us reaffirm a fundamental truth: ALL CHILDREN, BORN AND UNBORN, ARE MADE IN THE HOLY IMAGE OF GOD!" - President Donald Trump

One thing you must hear...

While most who were in attendance were Christian, there were other religions participating as well. There were Muslims and many from the Jewish Community. There was a strong, STRONG sense of UNITY. Remember, this was only 2 days after the State of the Union Address.

Sandi McGuire and
Summer Ingram
The whole thing was convened by a Republican and a Democrat (I can probably get those names) and they said it was unfortunate that many did NOT KNOW how often many Republicans and Democrats meet together to pray each week. I think the number was 24 senators and congressmen.

We here at Elijah List Ministries are happy to be able to communicate this now to you, our readers and you our Elijah Streams viewers. Not much of the truth from meetings like this ever sees the light of day in the current modern mainstream media.

Derene Shultz and Sandie McGuire
in Trump Hotel
Thank you for sending us! This is what you call a GOOD REPORT! God loves it when we give good reports. And I'm here to tell you God is clearly sitting on His Throne in Heaven while lovingly guiding this nation (and ALL NATIONS) for "as many who will come."

You can see that Derene and Sandi McGuire (who does partner development with us) and I made a trip to Trump Hotel to enjoy lunch in the lobby and it was just an amazing experience.

Here's something you may not have thought about

The media by and large dislike President Trump. We know that. So guess who does not hang out at the Trump Hotel. No Media. I'm sure they get there sometimes but we could see congressmen and Senators sitting at other tables. Some who I recognized a little but you might say, if you want to go to a safe place when you visit Washington, DC, the Trump Hotel may be just the ticket for you!

Derene and I see you all as FAMILY and we appreciate and pray for you all! Your prayers always sustain us and get us through narrow places. And your financial help and special contributions makes it all work very well together. I think our number of employees is right at 25. Of course, this is a lot of payroll for us when we always ALWAYS serve you at no charge-- but in 21 years since the founding of the ministry, we've never missed or been late on even one payroll! Glory to God!

But many are a bit too close. We have had to stretch our faith, but God has never once let us down. Thanks again for your financial help this month. If you are able to give a certain amount that we charge to your card every month, that helps us a great deal too!

"Engaging in the Process of Renewal"
Diane Lake, Missoula, MT

From the Desk of Steve Shultz:

Steve ShultzWe are posting a couple of great words today about the "renewal" that we are entering into. As you read through Diane Lake's recent article about this, she offers practical steps we can take in the process and preparation of it.

I encourage you to read this article from Diane Lake and another we also sent out today from Holly Watson...both will really help you in the renewal coming our way!

I'll leave you with what Diane opens up with regarding renewal:

The Lord has been speaking to me a lot about renewal recently. One aspect of this is that I've seen renewal coming with a momentum that cannot be stopped. Renewal refers to the act or process by which something is renewed, or made new. The best definition I found for the word "renew" is: "to make like new, restore to freshness, vigor or perfection, or to make new spiritually." (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)

Enjoy!

By the way, if you haven't heard, we have a new TV show called "Elijah Streams" which airs on GOD TV, DIRECTV and Faith USA. We interview many of the prophetic voices featured right here on the Elijah List. You can watch our latest episodes On Demand too right here on: ELIJAHSTREAMS.com.

"Engaging in the Process of Renewal!"
Diane Lake, Missoula, MT

The Lord has been speaking to me a lot about renewal recently. One aspect of this is that I've seen renewal coming with a momentum that cannot be stopped. Renewal refers to the act or process by which something is renewed, or made new. The best definition I found for the word "renew" is: "to make like new, restore to freshness, vigor or perfection, or to make new spiritually."

Renewal Dreams

One way this was illustrated was in a dream in which my husband and I sat on bleachers at a basketball game. Over and over we watched the opposing team try to take the ball in bounds underneath our team's basket, only to have it quickly stolen, followed by our team getting a score. The momentum became so one-sided that our fans didn't even clap or cheer anymore! At this point, my husband leaned over and told me that this signified renewal.

Another dream I had featured a baby about nine months old who I felt represented renewal. In the dream, I began to engage this baby to teach him a simple three-step game; a kind of fist bump, hand slap, high-five thing. In the process I quickly discovered he was far more advanced for his age than anyone thought. He was so responsive and so smart and we bonded almost instantly. He could do far more than anyone expected—even talk!

By this point, I was intrigued and asked the Lord to reveal more to me about how to engage this process of renewal that was apparently on His heart.

Batting a Thousand

The next time the Lord spoke of renewal I also heard Him speak of reaching "the 1,000 mark" and "batting a thousand." You've all heard of batting a thousand, which in the sport of baseball means a player hits the ball every single time at bat. In non-baseball usage, by extension, it can be used to refer to success in an endeavor or in multiple areas of one's life. Basically, it means to achieve perfection, or to do something perfectly.

This theme of perfection brought a Scripture to my mind—Ephesians 5:25-27. Here we find a description of the perfect Bride, who by the washing of the water of the Word has been found without spot or wrinkle, having become holy and without blemish, the glorious Bride of Christ. That's when I began to see the dots connect. Renewal is how the Bride of Christ becomes like new; it's the process by which we reach perfection!

You might feel stuck in your life, job or ministry, as if you're going nowhere. The Lord showed me that as you engage the spirit of renewal, you're going to start building momentum. There are going to be some things that make up time for you, and there's going to be a chance to do some things over. Life isn't fair sometimes, but I have good news...God is in the mood to make things perfect and new!

Much like the baby in the dream who learned a simple three-step game, the Lord showed me there are three basic components for engaging renewal.

Step One: The Word

The first step to engaging renewal is linked to the passage in Ephesians 5. It is the washing of the water by the Word that cleanses and sanctifies us. The Greek word for "word" is Strong's No. 4487, or "rhema." We often think of rhema as a prophetic word coming by another person, but it's important to remember that this type of word is subordinate to the logos, or the Scriptures. Another form of rhema is when the Holy Spirit quickens a particular Scripture to our mind at a specific time of need. But in either case the prerequisite is that we need to be regularly storing Scripture in our minds and in our hearts (Psalm 119:11).

Step Two: Fasting and Prayer

Scripture reveals that fasting and prayer are a superpower (Matthew 17:21; Mark 9:29 NKJV). I recently heard the Lord say, "A particular window is open for fasting and prayer right now." My sense is there are several aspects about this window, both general and specific.

The specific aspect concerns restitution. I first wrote about restitution in 2017, but I've been hearing it again. It can be tempting as time passes to quit contending for repayment for things the enemy has stolen from you, but be encouraged—now is the time to hold fast and press in! Prayer and fasting can be a superpower in restoring hope and seeing restitution come to pass (Zechariah 9:12).

The story of the man healed at the pool of Bethesda in John 5 points to other aspects I'm sensing. Remember how an angel came down at certain times to stir the waters, and whoever entered first was healed of whatever disease they had? I believe that now is a "certain time," and that a window of angelic activity is open for angels to be activated on your behalf when you fast and pray. In addition to restitution, I see a general application for whatever particular need you bring before the Lord in this manner.

Step Three: Repentance

This one's short and sweet. I'm hearing, "It's a season of repentance." By participating in repentance, both personally and on behalf of our nation, I believe times of refreshing, or renewal, will come out from the presence of the Lord (Acts 3:19)!

Suggestions for Activation and Application

On a recent night, I dreamed I was speaking to a group of people from Matthew 6 and 7. At the end I shared how the Lord had given me a love for His Word, and then I closed in prayer by thanking Him that the Word is a lamp unto our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105).

If you'd like to engage the process of renewal in your life, consider reading and meditating on Matthew 6 and 7. There are so many nuggets in this passage. I've listed just a few that can help begin to activate this process in your life.

In Matthew 6:11, Jesus taught us to pray for "our daily bread." Jesus, who is the living Word and the bread of life, will give us what we need spiritually each day as we read and "digest" the Scriptures (Matthew 4:4; John 1:1-14; 6:51; 63). Ask the Lord to give you a hunger and love for the Word, and to help you hide it in your heart (Psalm 119:11).

In Matthew 6:16, we find the phrase, "When you fast..." Don't neglect or ignore the superpower of fasting and prayer. Ask the Lord for special grace to fast, and if you already fast, to continue fasting in whatever manner He might direct.

In Matthew 6:12, Jesus taught us to ask forgiveness for our sins, and to forgive those who have sinned against us. Ask the Lord for a tender heart and intentionally seek His direction concerning repentance.

As you follow the blueprint for godly living outlined in this passage, you'll be building your house on a firm foundation—your house—meaning your life (Matthew 7:24-27).

Together, let's close by praying: Lord, thank You for activating the process of renewal in my life! (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)
