Maintain your Student Membership or Upgrade to Associate Member

 

As per the membership By-Law A you as a student member of the Institute are requested to submit proof of registration with the University.

By-Law A3.3.4 Confirm their membership at the beginning of each academic year by submitting proof of registration at their applicable tertiary institution.
Failure to submit proof of registration will result in the termination of their membership.

 
If you have completed your studies kindly inform us whether you would like to resign or would like to transfer to associate membership.

The SAIMM has recently implemented reduced membership fees for our student members who have graduated and would like to remain as members of the Institute by transferring to associate member.
 

1st year as Associate –  Free
2nd year as Associate - The recent graduate pays 1/3 of the current membership fee.
3rd year as Associate – The recent graduate pays 2/3 of the current membership fee.
4th year as Associate  - The recent graduate pays the full current membership fee.

 
All you need to do in order to transfer from Student member to Associate member is submit the below listed documents to naomi@saimm.co.za :

·         The completed membership details update form
·         Copies of your educational certificates received at graduation


Please submit your documents by the 24 June 2016 to avoid termination of your membership.
