From the desk of Steve Shultz:
Steve Porter knows a thing or two about "intimacy" with the Lord. He loves to spend time in the secret place and share with others how to abide there as well.
There is a great need in our day to speak from the Father's heart and be what Steve calls "an interpreter" for God.
Steve shares here:
There is a great need for interpreters in our day. These are the ones Father can trust to share His heart and impart that truth into the lives and circumstances of desperate souls. There was one out of a thousand according to Scripture, and many more are needed today. The Lord chooses and qualifies these anointed ones to speak His heart into the lives of others.
There are many hurting in this world...who desperately need to hear His voice in their lives. Will you be one to speak on His behalf, sharing His heart and love toward them?
Be encouraged this day to speak from your Father's heart! (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)

"Sharing the Father's Heart - Are You Willing to Be an Interpreter for God?"
Steve Porter, Rochester, NY
"If there be a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to show unto man His uprightness." (Job 33:23)
Hearts Burning While He Talked with Us
There is a great need for interpreters in our day. These are the ones Father can trust to share His heart and impart that truth into the lives and circumstances of desperate souls. There was one out of a thousand according to Scripture, and many more are needed today. The Lord chooses and qualifies these anointed ones to speak His heart into the lives of others.
"What's needed in our day is not only moving oratory but a voice who can interpret God to those who seek Him" |
I like to joke and say I was in church nine months before I was born! I was born and raised in the church. For the last forty-seven years, I have heard hundreds of thousands of sermons, but of all those messages, I sensed that a portion came straight from the very throne room of the Father and set my heart on fire. When I say this, I'm talking about those I knew were downloaded straight from the heart of God by the power of the Holy Spirit. In these, I could feel the very manifest presence of God as the words were spoken. The anointing dripped like honey from every word.
"They asked each other, 'Were not our hearts burning within us while He talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?' They got up and returned at once to Jerusalem. There they found the Eleven and those with them, assembled together and saying, 'It is true! The Lord has risen and has appeared to Simon.' Then the two told what had happened on the way, and how Jesus was recognized by them when He broke the bread." (Luke 24:32-35)
I love this verse: "Were not our hearts burning within us...?" (Luke 24:32)
Even as the two disciples in this passage felt an inward burning as Jesus spoke and were moved by the power behind the truth of His words, we also need to seek after the secrets of an anointed heart. May the power of God come with fire to set us ablaze so others sense that we have been with Jesus! (Photo via Steve Porter)
For those who have tapped into the spirit where they have genuinely heard whispers from the throne room, whispers from the Father's heart, it's apparent that they carry something special and unique. They are interpreters who help people understand His ways without embellishing or taking away from what God desires to say. They use God's Word to relate on a practical level to personal problems and struggles so people can walk in peace amid a world in chaos.
Grounded in the Word of God
These interpreters are deeply rooted and grounded in the Word of God. All their revelation and prophetic understanding are backed up by Scripture and sound doctrine. They are humble, accountable vessels who live holy before the Lord. They never hold themselves in higher esteem than the rest of the Body of Christ, but instead, they... (continue reading)
