I believe this to be a now word for this season...as God is calling His Church Body to unity for what lies ahead in the harvest and His outpouring.
Dawn Hill shares this in her latest word regarding a revelation she received about Zion:

Embodying Jesus Christ
I find myself frequently thinking about the not-so-glamorous things that seem to matter to the Holy Spirit. I say they are not so glamorous because they do not excite us like spiritual warfare or miracles or signs and wonders do. All of these things matter to God. We cannot ignore spiritual warfare, and we cannot forsake the entire great commission. I simply sense an urgency in this hour to desire every facet of God, whether it excites us or convicts us. We need to have the difficult conversations, so here it goes.
God is drawn to unity. It is the essence of the Trinity. Unity is vital to the Body of Christ. A Body fragmented is a poorly perfused Body, diminishing the flow of His presence and resulting in a weakened pulse and a fading heartbeat. It is not our own heartbeat the world is supposed to hear. As the Body of Jesus Christ, it is His heartbeat and His fragrance that we embody. This is where unity is so important.
The Zion Realm
The Zion Realm—this set of words stood out to me as I was reading Hebrews 12 recently in the Passion Translation. It is one of my favorite passages of Scripture. We are reminded that we have not come to a mountain burning with fire, smoke, and darkness like Moses did, and we have not come to a place where only one man could enter the atmosphere. Instead, Hebrews 12:22 says:
"By contrast, we have already come near to God in a totally different realm, the Zion-realm, for we have entered the city of the Living God, which is the New Jerusalem in Heaven! We have joined the festal gathering of myriads of angels in their joyous celebration!"
Zion is referenced as God's dwelling in several Scriptures. We are said to be seated in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6), and a head cannot be seated without a body. When I think about this realm, I think about the glory of God. I had been pondering on this for weeks, and then about a week ago during a corporate gathering, it made sense to me why this was linked to unity.
The Zion realm is not for one, but it is for all who would become sons of God and one with Christ, so that His Spirit could dwell within us. The problem is when we desire His glory and the Zion realm, but we forsake unity. The truth is that disunity does not bear witness with Jesus Christ. It testifies against His Kingdom. A kingdom divided against itself cannot stand. God's Kingdom cannot be shaken nor desolated, but a kingdom we build of our own doing and understanding can. What would happen if the world were to see our unity in Christ?
There is Glory in Unity
The Zion realm has everything to do with unity in Christ. We cannot fully demonstrate His Kingdom without unity. Jesus prayed for unity in the Body. He even prayed for us! In John 17, we see that Jesus is preparing to fulfill His purpose in coming as an atonement for sin. He is praying to the Father, and after He prays for His disciples, He prays for those who would believe in Him through the message of the disciples. This prayer is powerful:
"I pray for them all to be joined together as one even as You and I, Father, are joined together as one. I pray for them to become one with Us so that the world will recognize that You sent Me. For the very glory You have given to Me I have given them so that they will be joined together as one and experience the same unity that We enjoy." (John 17:21-22 TPT)
We can read this passage and miss the great responsibility that Jesus prayed for us to possess. He prayed for us to be one with Him and the Father so that the world would recognize that He was sent by the Father. Does the world recognize this level of unity in the Body, or do they see us trying to devour one another like they devour one another?
Many are praying for Jesus to return soon, but they curse those around them, including their brothers and sisters in Christ. Let me be so bold as to tell you that Jesus is coming back for a spotless Bride. We do have a tremendous responsibility to operate in unity, and this unity causes the world to see that God the Father sent Jesus Christ and Jesus sent the Holy Spirit. Saints, we have some work to do!
But that is not the end of it. As we read Jesus' prayer, we see that the glory is given for unity in Him. This glory that He freely shares with us is not given for goosebumps or for a temporal encounter. His glory is given so that we are joined with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as one. His glory is found in perfect unity—that place where everything else fades but Him and we recognize that we are one with Him and in Him. As His Body, His glory remains with Him, returning to Him when we operate in perfect unity.
On Earth as it is in Heaven
When we understand this revelation, then we can more fully understand what it means—that we have come near to God in the Zion realm. This is not for an elite group of people. This is for every Believer in Christ. If we truly desire to see "on earth as it is in Heaven" then we must operate as a unified Body. Right now, we are seeing pockets of glory bursting forth all over the world. Many Believers are existing instead of cohabiting with His presence.
Though I celebrate these times of glory, I cannot help but think that the vision is bigger. The world should see a difference in the Bride of Christ. Unity must begin on a personal level. We must be one with the mind of Christ, the Spirit of God, and the Word of God.
If we are constantly divided, then we cannot bear witness with the prayer Jesus prayed for us to be one with Him, and we cannot display this glorious realm where we are already seated with Christ. May we get the revelation of perfect unity in Him so that the world will know the truth. (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)
