About the Presentation:
The cases that will be discussed are mainly associated with Metallurgical and Mechanical Failures and the assistance that Engineering principles have in the solving of crime scenes. He has four cases prepared in his talk. The talk intend to show the role of Engineering principals in solving of crime scenes.

About the Presenter:
Colonel Danie Poolman is the head of the South African Police Service: Forensic Science Laboratory: Forensic Engineering Section. Registered Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng) as well as registered Natural Scientist (Pr.Sci.Nat) 26 Years' experience in Forensic Case work.
Most recent cases involve the Jason Rohde murder trial as well as the Oscar Pretorius Ballistics reconstruction
