I love this word that the Lord just spoke to Demontae Edmonds: "Do you know what just happened?"

This is an amazing revelation that the Lord revealed to our friend Demontae and what just took place this week.

I'm going to let you read this for yourself, and let's be praying for our great nation, our leaders, and the nations of the earth in this significant moment. (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)

A Significant Moment

The other morning while quieting my mind before God, I heard the Lord ask me, "Do you know what just happened?" The Lord then began to speak to me that many of His people did not understand the significance of the president of the United States of America – President Donald Trump – calling for a National Day of Prayer on this past Sunday.

The Friday before this, I spoke to one of the pastors under our apostolic covering. He shared with me that in his morning prayer God revealed to him that "Some leader needs to call a national day of prayer." We both prayed together that an influential church leader would unite leaders together and call for a national day of repentance and prayer.

Hours later, it was announced that President Donald Trump declared Sunday, March 15, 2020 as a National Day of Prayer for the United States of America in response to COVID-19.

This is a Tweet by President Donald Trump (Friday, March 13): "It is my great honor to declare Sunday, March 15th as a National Day of Prayer. We are a Country that, throughout our history, has looked to God for protection and strength in times like these... No matter where you may be, I encourage you to turn towards prayer in an act of faith. Together, we will easily PREVAIL!"

I'm repeating the Lord's words: "Do you know what just happened?" The governmental leader of our nation just called for a National Day of Prayer, NOT a church leader. Yes, we have a president who declared a National Day of Prayer and did NOT wait for the annual National Day of Prayer in May. God spoke to me about the great significance of this act. When a leader of a nation repents, prays, and seeks God it orders a window of time and opportunity for national repentance and blessing upon the land.

In the days of King Solomon there was a great dedication of the Temple, a national time of prayer and repentance, and sacrifices before the Lord. Also, there was a national time of seeking God at the tabernacle of God at Gibeon. Three things happened in response to Solomon (the leading governmental authority) leading the nation in seeking God's face.

1. The Fire of God Was Released

2 Chronicles 7:1, "Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from Heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the house."

I believe the fire of God represents not only the acceptance of the fire but the cleansing of the Land from sin, sickness, and disease. When the fire of God was released in Acts chapter 2 it released a new movement and spiritual awakening in the earth realm. The days of Solomon were ones of unprecedented peace, prosperity, and increase. We need the fire of God released once again in our nation.

Public facilities and establishments have closed due to the Coronavirus. During the Second Great Awakening, and other revivals in the 20th and 19th century, towns shut down bars, sporting events, and theaters because CROWDS WERE GATHERING TO PRAY AND HEAR THE GOSPEL OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. Many of these town-wide moments of repentance and seeking God were documented in the periodicals and newspapers of the day in various towns. Even the 20th president of the USA, President James Garfield, preached the Gospel to large crowds that gathered to seek the God of Heaven. (Photo via Pexels)

2. Wisdom for the Nation Was Released

In 2 Chronicles 1:7 it says, "In that night God appeared to Solomon, and said to him, 'Ask what I shall give you.'" In verse 10 Solomon replied, "Give me now wisdom and knowledge to go out and come in before this people, for who can govern this people of Yours, which is so great?" In verses 11-12 it says, "God answered Solomon, 'Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked for possessions, wealth, honor, or the life of those who hate you, and have not even asked for long life, but have asked for wisdom and knowledge for yourself that you may govern My people over whom I have made you king, wisdom and knowledge are granted to you...'"

God gave the leader of the nation supernatural... (continue reading)
