It's important more than ever to read what God's Word tells us regarding fear, as well as to listen to His prophets so that we may prosper, which is from 2 Chronicles 20:20.
Our friend, Prophet Demontae Edmonds, gives us some very keen insight to combat fear...in his recent word below.
If fear is trying to grip you and your loved ones...please read this word right now and forward on to everyone you know who needs this encouragement today! (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)

Don't Fear Darkness
The Bible uses the natural phenomenons of light and dark to contrast the conflict between good and evil. Darkness embodies an atmosphere of sin, confusion, sickness, depression, and fear. One of the most well-known and most powerful verses in the Bible encourages us not to fear the works of the enemy done in darkness.
"You shall not be afraid of the terror by night..." (Psalm 91:5)
We are encouraged to not be afraid of any works of darkness that might bring fear to those that don't know the Lord; news and bad reports that would bring "terror" to the unbeliever should not move the Believer. Psalm 91 goes even further and is more specific in verse 6.
"[N]or of the pestilence that walks in darkness..." (Psalm 91:6)
A pestilence is defined as "a fatal epidemic disease." The reason I believe that diseases are described as things that "walk in darkness" is because viruses, germs, and bacteria are microscopic and cannot be seen with the natural eye. God says that when we dwell under His divine protection even that which is unseen is seen by Him and He is able to protect us.
Also, we don't have to be afraid of the night, darkness, or terror. "Behold, He that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep" (Psalm 121:4). We can REST in God's promises and not be full of worry because even while we are at REST, God is at work watching over us. His light shines over us even while we are asleep, dispelling any darkness sent by the enemy, satan.
Let Them See Your Light
The prophet Isaiah prophesied in Isaiah 9:2 about the Lord Jesus' ministry: "The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light has shined."
Jesus fulfilled this prophetic word in the regions of Capernaum and Syria within His ministry. In Matthew 4 we read that for those that where in bondage to some form of darkness (sickness, disease, oppression), He brought light into their darkness. The God in Him was the answer to their woes! Matthew 4:24, "...[T]hey brought unto Him all sick people that where taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which where possessed with devils, and those which where lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and He healed them."
There are many people that we encounter daily the workplace, community, and marketplace that sit in some form of darkness. God is calling us to be the light that they need to find their way out of their darkness. Sharing a Scripture, prayer, word of encouragement, prophetic word, or an act of compassion often breaks through the darkness people are experiencing in their lives and reveals the love of God to them.
There is a popular song that I learned as a kid in Sunday School at church... (continue reading)
