From the Desk of Steve Shultz:
I voiced a bunch of "Amens!" as I read through Hakeem Collins' recent word.
I so enjoyed interviewing this young man, Hakeem Collins, on our Elijah Streams TV program. You can watch his episode here.
He has a powerful voice himself, and you could feel the shift in the atmosphere while he prayed and decreed in our TV studio.
I want you to read this word by Hakeem slowly and take it all in. It's a time to raise YOUR VOICE for the Lord! (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)

God began to give me a prophetic word of caution and encouragement when I was in prayer. The Lord said that while we are in a time of being quarantined (and there are many healthcare precautions to consider – precautions which were put in place to minimize the spread of the coronavirus and any disease), we must also keep in mind, spiritually speaking, that the enemy wants to undermine the prophetic words that were released in the new decade and new year. There were prophetic words God spoke through many credible prophets which declared: this is the year of the voice of the prophets, the year of the mouth, the era of the voice, the year of speaking what you are seeing, and the year of prophetic vision.
The Plan of the Devil Exposed
The coronavirus wasn't God's plan to teach the Church a lesson, or just some widespread plague, but it was created by an invisible enemy to muzzle, mute and mask the mouth of the prophetic in the Body of Christ. The enemy wants to silence and censor the voice of the Lord in the Church.
The Lord spoke to me and said that, spiritually, the invisible agenda of the invisible adversary – the devil – is to shut the mouths of the prophets and prophetic Believers to keep them from speaking clearly and declaring the Lord's decrees in this season. God spoke to me and said that this year is the year of the Lord's decree, and in the mouth of two or three witnesses let every word be established. Having our mouths covered in the natural is imperative in this time of the pandemic, and is the staggering, crippling and horrendous result that this coronavirus has caused.
However, keep in mind that God will not have us ignorant of the enemy's devices, strategies and plans (2 Corinthians 2:11). The enemy's plan is to mute, muzzle and mask your ability to speak out of your mouth. Your mouth is a weapon against the enemy. I come to declare that this is still the year of the mouth, the year of the voice of the prophetic, the year of the Lord's decree and the year of vocalization. (Photo via Piqsels)
While there is gross darkness on the earth, and we are in times that look uncertain, it is equally the greatest opportunity and moment for the Body of Believers and His prophets to be the voice of the Lord – speaking light in darkness. God says to not be silent, censored, muted and masked, but to speak up and speak out of your mouth.
Being Muzzled
I recall going into a Walmart store one morning and they prohibited me from entering in. Why? According to the worker, I must have a mask covering my mouth upon entering because it was a new state order. At the time I didn't have a face mask, and I was just at that same location hours ago without one, so I instantly looked to see if there was anything in writing, disclosed anywhere in sight, or posted on the doors of the store before I obeyed the order. It turned out that there was something posted within eyesight, but I was a little upset because I drove all the way there and then had to drive back to get a mask.
I truly understand the importance of having a mask on, and truth be told, I do feel a sense of safety when having one on myself and seeing others with them on while going into public places. However, in my opinion, the safety, health precautions and sanitation preventatives should have already been our first priorities – especially when handling food – among other important things.
When I came back to the same store with a mask, the same worker asked me a question with his mask on but I couldn't understand anything he was saying. His voice sounded muffled and distorted. I had to ask him to repeat himself several times while getting 6 feet closer to finally understand what he was saying. He complimented me on my mask.
The point of my story is to illustrate this... (continue reading)
