IMPC 2020, Cape Town, South Africa Postponed to April 18 to 22, 2021
The Organizing Committee of the XXX International Mineral Processing Congress scheduled to be held in Cape Town from 18 to 22 October 2020 have decided to postpone this to April 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. IMPC 2020 will now be held from 18 to 22 April 2021 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
IMPC 2020 is currently in the advanced stages of organization, having received nearly 900 abstracts, attracted significant sponsorship and confirmed world-class plenary speakers. All congress activities and events have been confirmed and the paper review process is well underway. Delegate registration has been open for several weeks and delegates and authors are actively registering. IMPC 2020 is set to be another successful International Mineral Processing Congress.
However, globally there is great uncertainty about the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is likely that international travel from many countries will not be possible for months to come. Even if travel were possible, the Organizing Committee of IMPC 2020 would not wish to expose delegates to any potential health risks. Consequently, the Organizing Committee have decided to move IMPC 2020 by 6 months to 18 to 22 April, 2021. The intention is that all activities and events currently confirmed for October 2020 will move as planned to April 2021.
