Apple deals all around Lots of great savings in the wake of Apple's fall keynote If you buy something from a Verge link, Vox Media may earn a commission. See our ethics statement. Happy Apple week! If you didn't tune in for the 90-minute infomercial that was yesterday's iPhone 13 launch event, let us get you up to speed. The iPhone 13 and 13 Pro, of course, had the spotlight, but there was a lot to like if you've been waiting for a significant design overhaul to the much-beloved and often forgotten iPad Mini. There was arguably a little less to get excited about regarding the Apple Watch Series 7, but at least time and iteration marches on with new, entry-level iPad. But what do these new full-price products mean for savvy, deal-hunting shopping?
Well, no need to fret, because if you're an Apple fan looking to save some money, there are a bunch of good deals to check out across some of the most popular products, and we're highlighting a few of our favorites here today. If you're keen on getting that early adopter buzz, though, keep an eye out for our forthcoming reviews or get your preorders in for the iPhone 13, 13 Pro, iPad, or iPad Mini.
We won't judge!
The new Apple Watch Series 7 was just announced, but I'd argue -- and I have -- that even with a larger screen that the design overhaul might not be worth it, especially when you consider the recent deals on the like-minded Series 6. If you're into the red colorway, you can get an Apple Watch Series 6 for as little as $319. Want your choice of more colors? No problem. The tried-and-true black model along with most other colors are $349 at Walmart, and none of them require you to wait until "later this fall" like the Series 7, allowing you to take advantage of fitness and sleep tracking, hand washing detection, and a range of other great features more immediately. Apple's current flagship wearable features an always-on display and new sensors that provide the ability to monitor your blood oxygen levels.
The next generation of AirPods were a no-show at this week's iPhone event, but if you're still looking for a great pair of true wireless earbuds, the AirPods Pro have dropped back down to $180 at Amazon, their second-lowest price to date. Apple's popular in-ears are a staple for anyone who wants great sound and active noise cancellation, especially those already invested in the Apple ecosystem. If you're on a tighter budget, the base model AirPods with the standard (read: wired) charging case have also dropped down to $115 at Amazon. Read our review. $180 $249 28% off Prices taken at time of publishing. Apple's flagship earbuds improve on the regular AirPods with better sound quality, excellent active noise cancellation, and immersive spatial audio.
The new iPad Mini might have been the darling of Apple's recent event, but let's not kid ourselves -- it's expensive. The new starting price of $599 is much higher than the $299 that the outgoing model from 2019 is currently going for at Walmart. But I would argue that the perfect balance of size, performance, design, and price comes in the form of last year's iPad Air. It's got slim bezels, a nice 10.9-inch screen, an excellent processor, and Touch ID. It's also still on sale at Amazon right now for $500, its best price to date. Read our review. $500 $599 17% off Prices taken at time of publishing. The 2020 iPad Air includes thinner bezels around the display and a Touch ID sensor built into the power button, which is located at the top of the device. Love big screens? If so, one more iPad deal comes to mind. The 2020 version of the iPad Pro has been getting some sizable discounts since the newer model hit the market in May. It's certainly not as portable as its smaller siblings or as fast as the latest model -- it might even be overkill for many -- but the larger screen is great for getting more done and simply enjoying content at a larger scale. The 128GB, Wi-Fi model is currently $150 off at B&H, which is a great value for a big and powerful iPad. Read our review. $849 $999 16% off Prices taken at time of publishing. This 12.9-inch Apple tablet from 2020 includes a 120Hz refresh rate display, 4K rendering for video editing apps, and enhanced AR performance. Unfortunately, however, it doesn't have the M1 processor. Whether you're using last year's iPhone 12, an older model that supports Qi charging, or patiently waiting for iPhone 13 preorders to open up on Friday, Apple's MagSafe Charger is a convenient accessory to own. The sleek, magnetic puck can provide an iPhone 12 Mini with up to 12 watts of power or an iPhone 12 or 12 Pro with up to 15 watts -- assuming that you're using a 20-watt power brick, that is. Right now, it's available for an all-time low of $27 at Amazon. $27 $40 33% off Prices taken at time of publishing. Apple's wired MagSafe Charger is nothing short of convenient. While slow, the magnetic device can still juice an iPhone 12 to 40 percent within an hour. It also offers Qi support, meaning it can charge older iPhone models and the wireless charging case that comes with some AirPods models.
