As we have crossed over into September, I keep hearing the Lord say, "A new normal has been set." There has been a clashing of swords over many of you in this season. The reason why the fight has been so fierce and intense is because the enemy has been fighting your destiny—your place of expansion and living in God's fullness.
This is a word for those who have remained pure, faithful, and diligent in the midst of great backlash. You're stepping into a season where the Lord is going to openly and extravagantly reward you. Hebrews 11:6 (AMP) says, "...He rewards those who earnestly and diligently seek Him." This is the season the Lord is openly rewarding what has been done and sown in secret (Matthew 6:4).
Positioned for Promotion
The Lord is promoting the pure ones, those who's hands are clean and hearts have remained pure.
Psalm 24:3-4 (TPT) declares, "Who, then, ascends into the presence of the Lord? And who has the privilege of entering into God's Holy Place? Those who are clean—whose works and ways are pure, whose hearts are true and sealed by the truth, those who never deceive, whose words are sure."
Right here David gives us keys to ascending in the spirit and positioning ourselves for promotion. Don't look to man for promotion. When we seek people for promotion, they also have the ability to take the platforms away that were given, and have the authority to shut the doors they have opened for others.
The Word of God declares that promotion comes from the Lord and not man (Psalm 75:6-7), and when God opens the doors no man can shut them (Isaiah 22:22). When you allow God to promote you, He will cause man to pour out favor over your life.
What Does This 'New Normal' Look Like?
What does it mean that a new normal has been set? The Lord kept highlighting Psalm 18:19-20 (TPT) to me. It says, "His love broke open the way and He brought me into a beautiful broad place. He rescued me—because His delight is in me! He rewarded me for doing what's right and staying pure."
Many of you have been used to staying in the background, behind the scenes, and unseen. In this season you're going to find yourself in the front, where many will see and be blessed by what you carry and what God has developed in the secret place. This will also require you to carry yourself differently, and think of yourself differently.
In other versions of Psalm 18:19 it says, "He brought me out into a spacious place." When God brings you to your spacious place, you can't carry the small-place mentality or the poverty mindset into your new. Carrying old mindsets into new places will cripple your ability to really enjoy what the Lord has opened up to you.
His love has broken open the way for you in this season, for those who have remained pure and have done right even when it was hard. You're going to find yourself in opportunities, circles of people, and tables of influence that you could never have imagined. This is your new normal. Your new standard and place in the spirit has been upgraded; now its time to upgrade your expectations and mindsets.
This is your season of favor and promotion. He has brought you to a spacious place, the place of exceedingly, abundantly, above all you can think or imagine. God has set a new normal for your life, His normal is becoming your new normal.
