"A Pioneering Move of the Spirit in Hollywood"

Night Visions
Recently, while I was in a time of prayer and fasting, I was awakened out of my sleep through an encounter with the Lord. Holy Spirit frequently speaks to me through dreams and visions of the night, so it's not uncommon for me to receive revelation during the night or early morning hours.
Dreams, night visions and supernatural encounters are a common occurrence all throughout Scripture. The New Testament is filled with instances where Holy Spirit relayed important messages through different means of communication (Acts 16:9, Acts 13:2, Acts 10). God often spoke to His people during the night hours and by encountering Him in various ways (2 Chron. 7:12, 1 Kings 3:5, 1 Kings 19:11-13).

With this particular encounter, it was a few weeks preceding the 500th year anniversary of the Protestant Reformation of Martin Luther. As an intercessor, I pray for reformation and a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit often. However, my prayers weren't particularly focused on the reformation of the Church at the time.
I hadn't previously studied the Protestant Reformation but had read other articles about the significance of this year and the link between the 50th year anniversary of the Jesus People Movement as being markers for a fresh awakening of the Holy Spirit. So to my surprise, when I was awakened out of my sleep, the Lord spoke to me about something I had very little knowledge about. But isn't that the way God normally moves (1 Cor. 1:18-27)?
"For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts." (Isaiah 55:8-9)
Surprised by the Voice of God
The dawn of a new day was approaching when the Lord walked over to me, leaned in close, looked me straight in the eyes and said, "Pay attention to what I'm saying: Paris Hilton never did like Chuck Smith." As my eyes popped open and this unusual phrase resounded in my spirit, I have to admit I had no idea what it meant. I rarely watch television, but I know who Paris Hilton is. I'm familiar with Chuck Smith, however, until this encounter, I had very little knowledge about his life and ministry.
