WLR Newsletter: 3-Week Summer Shorts Plan | 'All or Nothing' vs 'More or Less'

Hi Kuka,

Some of the content of this issue may appear to be a bit contradictory …

… we have a 3-week meal plan and a new wlr video that tells a little story about why going ‘going on a diet’ might not be such a good idea.

Since I don’t want our lovely readers to think we’re too bonkers to make our minds up, I’ll make our excuses in advance …

Meal plans are great as a stepping off point:

  • They give structure
  • Encourage new ways of eating and being more adventurous with food
  • Provide a better understanding of portion sizes

Possibly the best thing about starting off with a meal plan is that, within a short time, it becomes a ‘template’ that you can customise to suit yourself.

Like, for example, the 3-Week Summer Shorts Plan:

Designed to be sufficiently low in calories to make a difference in a limited period – but with enough wiggle room to accommodate real life.

The new video that goes with the plan highlights some ideas.

Plans are not so good when they:

  • Ban foods (or drinks)
  • Have unnecessary rules
  • Force foods (or drinks)

Mostly because these kinds of plans take an ‘all or nothing’ approach, making it hard not to fall off the wagon and have to start all over again.

This 2-minute video shows the 'All or Nothing' story
