Kim Black, Williamsburg, VA  "He knows we are His since He has also stamped His seal of love over our hearts and has given us the Holy Spirit like an engagement ring is given to a bride – a down payment of the blessings to come!" (2 Cor. 1:22) I hear the Spirit of the Lord declaring, "Greater, greater, greater is on the way!" In this hour, the Spirit of the Lord is inviting His Church, His Bride, to experience the greater things of the Spirit and life in His Kingdom. In the midst of the chaos of flus, viruses, rumors and political upheavals, His promises still stand; the Bride will experience the marvelous works of the Lord.  When a bride-to-be receives her engagement ring, there is always much joy. This woman in love understands her ring is a promise of a greater covenant yet to come. This beautiful ring implies an invitation to participate in more; more of life, more of love and more of joy. The groom in love is stating his eternal love and affection for her: "I take you as my wife." He will protect her, love her and help her grow into the woman of purpose God has ordained. This ring is also a symbol which the bride wears to testify to the world, "I have found the one I love. I have been chosen!" The ring on her finger notifies the world that she said, "Yes! I will commit to loving you and have eyes for you and you alone." Receive Your Ring The Bible says that the Spirit of Christ Himself is our seal, our ring – an earnest deposit of greater blessings to come. When we said yes to Him in covenant commitment, Christ sealed us with His Spirit as a down payment of "greater to come." The Holy Spirit is the engagement ring given to the Bride as a down payment; an earnest deposit of the blessings and promises to invade our lives. This seal is living, and He lives in us.
