| SAIMM Member subscriptions to the Technical Library | |||||||||||||||||
| As part of our ongoing value-add to members we offered members a three-month trial subscription to the Technical Library in 2015. A number of members took up the offer which proved that there was a need for these services. In January 2016 the SAIMM Council agreed to sign a one-year agreement with the Technical Library which would give members free access to a number of services, as well as discounted rates for others. The services and costs, where applicable, are listed in the table below:
Any member who would like to use this service will be required to complete a Client Agreement Form which is available on our website. We urge members to sign up and make use of this service to support the initiative. | |||||||||||||||||
| New GMSG Subcommittee connects ISO TC 251 and Mining | |||||||||||||||||

As the technical committee reviews the ISO 5500x Asset Management series standards, the subcommittee will be relaying messages from mining industry representatives to ISO TC 251. This initiative will provide a forum for discussions on Asset Management and the development of guidelines within the mining industry that support the ISO 5500x series.
