Good place to start your argument for a #plantbased diet. High blood levels of branched chain amino acids (BCAA) were associated with a higher risk of metabolic disorder and future insulin resistance, or type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). BCAA are stored primarily in muscle, so eating meat may cotribute to higher levels. Higher levels can also identify poor liver processing.
