SAIMM : Ballot paper for election of fourteen members for the Young Professionals Council
THE SOUTHERN AFRICAN INSTITUTE OF MINING AND METALLURGY
YOUNG PROFESSIONALS COUNCIL 2018/2019
BALLOT PAPER FOR ELECTION OF FOURTEEN MEMBERS
Dear SAIMM young professional member
The Young Professionals Council (YPC) was set up in 2014, and in terms of By-Law I Young Professionals Council (YPC) Clause 3.1:
"The activities of the YPC shall be to develop and promote initiatives and industry awareness of Students and Associates as well as young professionals within the defined age group to provide an alternative perspective to Council to consider in its decision making".
The age group is defined as members who are 35 years old and younger.
To date the nomination list for members to be elected to the YPC has not included as many members as are required to fill the vacancies. A ballot process to vote for members of the YPC was therefore not required.
For the 2018/2019 term we have received nominations from seventeen (17) young professional members and we will therefore have a ballot process to elect fourteen (14) members for the YPC.
Please note that the YPC Office Bearers for the term 2018/2019 are not included on the ballot form. They are:
Chairperson K.M. Letsoalo Vice-Chairperson N. Tshiongo-Makgwe Secretary G. Dabula Immediate Past Chairperson A.S. Nhleko
The ballot paper is available on our website. Please take a few minutes to click on the link below to cast your vote.
